Hey!

       Welcome to my blog, my name is Joanne! If you're reading this, get ready to embark on this journey of creating a full fledged blog and magazine with me! I plan on treating this blog as a planner, scrapbook, diary, and documentary all at once. Currently, I have no idea how I am going to organize this blog, or my magazine, if I can't even organize my thoughts. However, this intro to myself and what I want to accomplish in the 7 weeks that I have to do this project, is a step in the right direction.

      I've decided to do a magazine instead of a film for my final project because I love writing and expressing my passions through writing is something that I rarely get to do in my advanced English classes. I'm passionate about Womanhood, Black culture, Entertainment, Fashion, Activism, Photography, and the Internet, more specifically, YouTube. I felt as though a magazine would be the perfect way for me to combine all of these elements beautifully and logically. If blogging becomes another passion of mine as a result of this project, this could possibly be something that I do professionally one day, who knows?
         
      As of now, this blog seems like just another task that I need to add to my never-ending list of responsibilities. Although, I hope that as I get more into blogging, I begin to love it and even find solace in it. I love vlogging my life and uploading my videos onto my YouTube channel, so documenting my obstacles, frustrations, and accomplishments is not going to be difficult for me. If vlogging is anything like blogging, I think I'll have a blast, and become a better blogger as I become more invested in my project.

      Overall, I'm pretty excited to start, where I'll start.....I have no idea, but as I go through moments of frustration and see sights that create inspiration, I can only hope that I achieve my goals and make myself proud. Welcome to my blog.
